Belt Thickener

The Taneco Belt Thickener consists of an infeed side, a dewatering table and the rinsing system. The input bin is designed in such a way that extra mixing takes place between chemicals and dirty water. This also ensures that the washing water is spread over the entire width of the dewatering table. A sieve belt rotates over the dewatering table, where the sludge is collected and the pure water is filtered. The chicanes on the dewatering table ensure that the sludge ‘keeps moving’ in order to dewater the sludge even better. We offer the option of placing a threshold system at the end of the dewatering table to further thicken the sludge. The scraper at the end of the dewatering table scrapes the thickened sludge from the sieve belt. A belt rinsing system ensures that the sieve belt is cleaned, before new sludge is pumped over it, in order to keep the permeability of the sieve belt optimal. The Belt Thickener is available in different capacities, varying from 20 m3/h to 100 m3/h.

Belt Thickener Plus

The Belt Thickener Plus is an in-house design and is the result of demand from customers in the industrial sector. The sludge that comes from a normal belt thickener is often too wet to dispose of and the choice for a decanter or sieve belt press means a substantial increase in investment. We developed the ideal solution to thicken the sludge into a stackable product.

In addition to the basic functionalities of a normal belt thickener, our Belt Thickener Plus provides extra compression of the sludge and better dewatering. The pressure in the Plus module is created by the press belt located at the end of the machine and can dewater the sludge up to 35% dry matter. The Belt Thickener Plus is available in different capacities, ranging from 20 m3/h to 80 m3/h.
