Weighing machines
Upmann was one of the first to supply fully automatic combination scales for potatoes, onions, and carrots, with the first prototype in 1982. And first delivery shortly after. Over the years, we have developed a product line of machines. Today we have eight different model lines, which in each line has specific advantages. Each line is available with different number and size of scales. For each type and size of product, we have the right solution, as size of the crop packed variate from country to country. Our model line program starts with small machines with 1 weighing head and ends with combination scales with up to 29 heads. Almost all models can be delivered in mild steel or stainless steel. Many of our machines are available in several configurations and can be designed to run with more packing machines at the same time. The capacity can reach 36 t/h in 25 kg. All our weighers can be delivered with remote service module to access the machines direct at the customer’s site.
Belt Weigher
Upmatic belt weigher 802 is suitable for weighing of potatoes and onions in portions from 2,5 kg to 15 kg. (More than 15 kg in multi dump.)? This machine is equipped with a display interface where recipes with different settings can be stored. With the different recipes it is very easy to toggle between different weighing jobs and products. This machine works with two independent working belts. One wide one and one narrow one. The dosing process is that first both belts will run and when coming closer to the target weight, the final dosing will be done with the narrow belt. In the parameter also the speed of each belt can be adjusted to get the best performance. This machine has self-optimizing software which constantly controls the weighing process in order to have best speed and accuracy. The machine is also equipped with automatic tare. For products like carrots, red beets, parsnips etc. is the Upmatic weigher 801 available. This machine has one wide belt with offset cleats. These machines can be used manually and can also be used in combination with automatic bagging machines.
Electronic Weigher
Upmatic weigher 1805, 1810 are suitable for weighing of potatoes and onions in portions and also this machine can process carrots to a limited extent from 2,5 kg to 25 / 50 kg. This machine is equipped with a display interface where recipes with different settings can be stored. With the different recipes it is very easy to toggle between different weighing jobs and products. This machine works with five independent working vibration channels. We talk about rough medium and fine feeding.The dosing process is that first all channels will run and when coming closer to the target weight, the rough dosing will stop, coming closer, the medium dosing will stop and the final dosing will be done with the last channel. This machine has self-optimizing software which constantly controls the weighing process in order to have best speed and accuracy. The machine is also equipped with automatic tare. The 1810 is a double 1805 which can work as two independent weigher or in combination as a double one to do 50 kg in one shot. These machines is used mostly in combination with a semi-automatic bagger like our 3015 or with a Rashel bagger like our 1351.
Linear Combination Weigher

Upmann 23XX series is very flexible combination weigher. This weigher we offer with 7 – 9 – 11 weighing heads. The machine has a very special compact design, which means that in terms of performance it has a quite small footprint. Due to its large weighing containers, there is a wide variety of root vegetables that can be weighed with this machine. The weigher has a wide application and can be used for small portions weighing 1-5 kg. as well as for larger weighing’s like 10-15-20-25 kg. large portions are made as partial weighing (Multi Dump). With its unique vibrator system, it is possible to weigh both washed and unwashed products. The weigher is easy to service and has a very robust construction. Many set-up configurations are available, with 1-2-3 packing machines at the same weigher. All machine parts in contact with products are non-corrosive. The main frame of the weigher is available in painted finish or in complete stainless steel. The weigher is equipped with smart touch interface, with easy access to programs and settings. The weigher is also offered with remote service module.
